Tournament Scrim Etiquette: Room Slots, Check-in Windows & Dispute Resolution

Essential community etiquette for competitive custom rooms, covering punctual lobby arrival, slot displacement penalties, and professional dispute handling.

1. The 15-Minute Check-in Window

Organizers open custom rooms 15 to 20 minutes prior to scheduled start. Squads that fail to occupy their designated room slots with all 4 players 5 minutes prior to drop time forfeit their slot to waiting reserve teams.

💡 PRO TIP

Ensure all squad members have downloaded the required tournament map updates before match day to avoid last-minute update delays.

2. Slot Jumping & Griefing Penalties

Occupying an unassigned squad slot ("slot jumping") disrupts room marshaling. Teams found repeatedly jumping assigned slots receive point deductions or multi-week scrim blacklisting.

3. Observer & Spectator Access Guidelines

Only verified tournament casters and referees may occupy spectator slots. Players or team coaches attempting to spectate custom rooms will have their entire squad disqualified for stream sniping prevention.

4. How to Properly File a Match Dispute

If your team encounters a rule violation, do not engage in lobby toxicity. Submit a timestamped report through the Game Zone Report Desk with end-screen screenshots and POV clips. Referees review audits within 2 hours of match completion.
